Diamonds Sculpture Rigging

Suspended high above the roadway between the National Gallery of Australia and the High Court of Australia, Neil Dawson’s Diamonds sculpture is one of Canberra’s most recognisable public artworks. We were engaged to undertake the complete re-rigging of the suspended installation, replacing all rigging in situ while maintaining the safety and integrity of the artwork.

This work was classified as high-risk work, being advanced rigging, and required specialist expertise, precise methodology, and strict compliance with safety protocols. Engineering design and compliance for the re-rigging was provided and overseen by Ansary Consulting Engineers, ensuring the project met the highest technical standards.

By completing the re-rigging works, we have ensured that this landmark sculpture continues to be displayed safely and securely, preserving an important cultural feature within Canberra’s national precinct.
